welcome to the spuzzum institute of technology

fact or fiction

zzit is the acronym for the spuzzum institute of technology, which might have been inspired by the explorer simon fraser, who took a rest and caught some zees at spuzzum, after his hazardous journey through the hell's gate canyon on the river that was later to bear his name.

the institute's grand ourverture in 1812 (in those days french was more of an international language than english) is believed to have been attended by most world leaders, except - strangely enough - by the french leader. napoleon chose to attend a party in moscow instead - a decision he came to regret!!

and why shouldn't the world famous ludwig von b. compose his beautiful masterpiece, the spuzzum symphony, to commemorate this 1812 ouverture?

for almost 200 years now the zzit has immersed itself in it's heuristic research together with it's warped methodology and impeccable logic to bring about some unusual scientific breakthroughs. some of these are mentioned here but many are found in greater detail in the publication zzit  revealed - scientific humor from the spuzzum institute of technology.

the leading question: "where the heck is spuzzum?" has always been answered with: "spuzzum is beyond hope!" indeed this tiny, beautiful spot, nestled on the mountain slopes along the fraser river in british columbia, appears to be asleep in a bygone era, remaining anonymous and almost invisible in its oblivion. just as anonymous and even more invisible is that llegendary centre of knowledge - spuzzum institute of technology and as the zzit has become the scientific hub of north america, there can be but little hope without spuzzum.
